1. That Your Petitioner has excepting for a few short periods hereinafter particularly stated continously resided and carried on business in the Colony of Hongkong during

since the month of May 1906. the past thirteen years, viz

The excepted periods are that Your Petitioner on or about the lat May 1914 left Hongkong for Shanghai in China and remained absent from Hongkong until about the 31st May 1914 when he returned to Hongkong.

That Your Petitioner again left Hongkong on the 15th August 1917 for Shanghai and remained absent until about the 15th September 1917 when he returned to Hongkong.

That Your Petitioner again left Hongkong for shanghai on or about the 12th June 1919 and remained absent until about the 31st July 1919 when he returned to Hongkong and that
